Pat is a senior tax attorney with over 41 years of experience in tax and commercial matters. His active practice includes both Virginia and North Carolina matters, where he has provided multiple generations within the same families tax and business advice. As a former head of his firm's business department, he is able to quickly identify paths and options for resolution of business issues, for example those encountered with business succession plans.

Pat currently represents Taft-Hartly pension and welfare benefit plans within an excess of $700 million in assets. In addition, his previous work with multiple charities gives him the background for assisting start-up charities as well as existing non-profits with governance and complex compliance concerns.
