Autumn Visser Named a “Go To Lawyer” for Business Law

Autumn Visser has been recognized as a “Go To Lawyer” for Business Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. Autumn is a Principal at Woods Rogers and a member of the Business & Corporate and Emerging Growth practice groups.

Autumn’s legal practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and negotiation, venture and seed capital financing, and corporate governance. She also works on real estate issues, government contracts, and licensing.

Autumn has been instrumental in many economic development initiatives in western Virginia. In addition to her mergers and acquisitions practice, she has assisted several companies—including manufacturers—seeking to relocate or establish operations in the region. She has also represented start-ups and venture capital investors with a regionally specific focus. Her legal work facilitated national and international manufacturers building new facilities in the region, adding hundreds of jobs.

In addition to her legal practice, Autumn is a member of Woods Rogers’ Board of Directors and was named Chief Financial Officer in 2021. She also chaired the firm’s Practice Development Committee for several years. She developed and leads the firm’s Minority and Women-Owned Business Support Program, which provides pro bono corporate formation counsel to Virginia companies owned by women and minorities.

As shown by being named a “Go To Lawyer,” Autumn’s legal knowledge and business acumen are recognized across the commonwealth. When nominating Autumn for this recognition, Woods Rogers Chairman Victor Cardwell stated, “Autumn has a unique ability to identify the issues faced by her corporate clients.
