Vandeventer Black's Eaton Joins The Board of the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia

Firm News

Vandeventer Black attorney Jennifer L. Eaton recently became a member of the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia. The Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia serves as an invaluable resource to Hampton Roads' low-income residents by providing representation in civil litigation matters spanning topics such as landlord/tenant disputes, domestic violence, family law, consumer law, collections, and civil rights issues.

"It is an honor to play a small role in Legal Aid's efforts to expand access to justice," said Eaton.

Ms. Eaton also holds leadership positions in other community organizations, such as the Chesapeake Humane Society, where she serves as a member of its Board and the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, where she serves on its Philanthropy Committee. Just last year, she was honored by her alma mater the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary, as the Taylor Reveley Award recipient in recognition for her service, leadership, and qualities as a citizen lawyer.

When not out in the community, Ms. Eaton advocates for clients—whether they are small businesses or Fortune 500 companies—in state and federal courts across the Commonwealth.
