Victor O. Cardwell Inducted into Virginia Law Foundation’s Class of Fellows 2025

Recognition

Victor Cardwell, Woods Rogers principal and chairman, was inducted into the Virginia Law Foundation Fellows Class of 2025. Fellows membership is an honor bestowed annually upon Virginia lawyers who are recognized as outstanding citizen lawyers committed to the highest ideals of the law.

Victor joined Woods Rogers as an associate in the firm’s Roanoke office in 1991 and became a principal in 2006. As co-chair of the Labor & Employment practice group, he practices labor and employment law throughout the U.S. He offers counsel to executives and human resources managers on a wide range of employer concerns, focusing on diversity, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and labor/management relations and workplace violence.

Peers have comment that “Victor Cardwell is the best employment attorney I have ever worked with. He is extremely knowledgeable and accessible." (Chambers USA, 2024)

Additionally, Victor served as a past president of the Virginia Bar Association and serves on the Virginia State Bar’s Board of Governors for its Diversity Conference. He was named to the Roanoke Law Foundation Fellows Program in 2018.
