Virginia Port Authority Paves a Path for Renewable Energy
Client Milestone
Since 2018, Woods Rogers attorneys have advised the Virginia Port Authority (VPA) in its negotiation of several leases of state-owned property for offshore wind energy development. The property is key to staging the large and complex equipment used to generate energy from offshore wind.
Supported by the Commonwealth of Virginia and the U.S. Department of Energy, these renewable energy projects are a key component of the state economic development plan.
