Get To Know Albert

Albert first joined WRVB as a summer associate in 2021 and 2022 and returned as an associate in 2023. While in law school, Albert was a member of the University of Richmond's Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, Law Career Development Board, and the Public Interest Law Review, where he served as managing editor. He also served as the Treasurer of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.

Additionally, during his 2022 fall semester at law school, Albert served as a legal extern at his alma mater, where he researched various NCAA bylaws and issues.

Alongside to earning his bachelor’s at Brandeis University, Albert played on the college baseball team, the Judges, where he pitched weekend games and earned all UAA-Academic Honors in multiple seasons.

Albert grew up in Miami, Florida and now lives in Norfolk, Virginia where he enjoys playing outdoor sports, such as kayaking, running, and slow-pitch softball.

Experience

  • Represents and appears on behalf of employers found in violation of Virginia’s Workers’ Compensation insurance coverage requirement.
  • Experience managing substantial discovery, taking depositions, and writing briefs and motions for the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission.
  • Experience drafting settlement documentation to be approved by the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission.
  • Assisted Liability Defense Group in the representation of its clients to successfully bring the assertion of various defenses including willful misconduct, termination for cause, refusal of selective employment, and statutes of limitation.
