Gavin advises clients in business disputes and civil litigation involving areas of eminent domain, intellectual property, and complex commercial litigation.

Get To Know Gavin

Gavin's law practice focuses on representing businesses and public utility companies in a variety of litigation matters. Prior to joining Woods Rogers, he served as law clerk for the Honorable Henry E. Hudson at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, where he developed a strong understanding of federal practice and procedure. He represents clients in both state and federal court on matters involving eminent domain, intellectual property, contract disputes, fiduciary duties, federal employment law, and general commercial law.

While earning his law degree at the University of Richmond School of Law, Gavin served as the Manuscripts Editor of University of Richmond Law Review Vol. 56, the president of the Moot Court Executive Board, a member of the First-Generation Law Student Organization, and a Richmond School of Law Student Ambassador. He also won the Carrico and Barnett Moot Court Competitions and was an Order of the Barristers award recipient.

Gavin grew up in Marion, Virginia, before studying as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech. He was an accomplished basketball, golf, and track athlete, but now trades the rigors of competition for the rigors of fandom, following his beloved Hokies and Washington, D.C. professional sports teams closely.

Outside of work, Gavin loves spending time with his wife, Molly, and their German Shepherd, Anabelle. In addition to spending time with family, Gavin loves to golf, cook recipes from his cookbook collection, listen to his record collection, and travel to new places.
