His practice includes advising in the areas of general corporate and business law, healthcare law, health insurance law, real estate law, commercial lending, trademarks, and information technology contracting.

Hank advises healthcare providers and provider-sponsored health plans in the areas of general corporate matters and governance, HIPAA privacy and security, regulatory compliance, physician-hospital integration, software, software as a service (SaaS) and business process as a service (BPaaS) contracting, telemedicine, vendor and consulting contracts, joint ventures, and the acquisition and disposition of healthcare-related businesses, brands, and other assets.

Owners, developers, landlords, tenants, borrowers, and lenders engage Hank to advise them in connection with real estate purchases, sales, financings, development, construction, leasing, and land use for a wide variety of projects, such as health care facilities, commercial shopping centers, educational and corporate campuses, residential development, historic redevelopment, and recreational facilities.

Hank and his wife, Susan, are Lynchburg natives who enjoy boating with their family on Smith Mountain Lake. Hank serves on the board of directors of HumanKind, a Lynchburg-area human services organization.
