Get To Know Joyce

Joyce supports the legal needs of the firm’s Commercial Real Estate practice. A paralegal and legal assistant for more than two decades, she has assisted lawyers at firms of all sizes, giving her a broad base of knowledge of the tools and resources available to complete projects efficiently and cost-effectively.

Joyce contributes vast experience in areas such as real estate, and corporate and business transactions. She is familiar with all aspects of real estate including document production and management of critical dates; the drafting of closing documents; research of real estate property titles; and closing and settlement preparation. Her organizational and interpersonal skills have been a great asset to lawyers and clients on the buyers, sellers and lenders sides. She has also supported the firm’s business lawyers on corporate transactions such as Section 1031 Exchanges, entity formations and qualifications, as well as mechanic's liens and UCC financing statements.

Joyce grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, and played softball for many years, lettering at Great Bridge High School. She was the church musician playing the piano and organ for many years. Along with her husband Todd and their cat Kramer, Joyce enjoys traveling with their camper. If there's swimming, line dancing, karaoke, or water volleyball around, you can count on Joyce to be right in the thick of it.
