Get To Know Paul
As Executive Director, Paul oversees the firm’s finance, technology, HR, operations, business development and project management functions. Paul works with the Board of Directors to develop and execute strategy, with a constant focus on delivering the highest level of service to clients. Ensuring that attorneys can be productive, efficient and effective for their clients is the core of his mission. Team building and driving change are his passions.
Paul was the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Vandeventer Black LLP. He became Executive Director of Woods Rogers when the two firms merged in 2022. Prior to Vandeventer Black, Paul was the Director of Finance for Proskauer Rose LLP, an AmLaw 50 firm, located in New York City.
Prior to law firm management, Paul held various financial leadership positions within the largest global investment banks and in international private banking. During these 25+ years, Paul learned a great deal about financial controls, compliance, and change management.
Paul and his wife raised their three children in the Princeton, NJ area and relocated to Norfolk, Virginia when Paul joined Vandeventer Black. When not working (when’s that?) Paul enjoys boating, fishing, swimming, and other waterfront activities.
Paul is a semi-professional musician and can be heard playing various woodwinds in local wind ensembles, chamber groups and in the pit orchestra for musical theater.
