Pietro represents clients in complex disputes and litigation across a wide range of practice areas, including commercial disputes, intellectual property, insurance defense, construction, and government contracts. His clients include privately held businesses in a broad spectrum of industries. He has extensive experience in the automotive, technology, and construction sectors, in particular.

Pietro routinely advises on breach of contract claims, defamation actions, complex business torts, and IP claims. His active litigation practice takes him before general district and circuit courts across the Commonwealth, as well as the Eastern District of Virginia, the Western District of Virginia, the Virginia Court of Appeals, the Workers’ Compensation Commission, and the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation.

Strategic thinking and responsiveness are hallmarks of Pietro’s successful practice. Leveraging his own experience and the depth of the firm’s resources, he partners with clients to achieve favorable outcomes. During law school, Pietro served as the Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review. Following law school, he was a Judicial Clerk in the Chesterfield County Circuit Court for the Hon. Frederick G. Rockwell III and the Hon. Timothy J. Hauler.

Outside the office, Pietro is actively involved in the Tredegar Society and the St. Thomas More Society, as well as industry groups such as the Associated General Contractors of Virginia, Inc. and the Associated Builders and Contractors of Virginia. A passionate fan of UVA and Cleveland sports teams, and an avid home cook, he also enjoys outings to local breweries, new restaurants and punk or metal concerts.

Commercial

  • Lead counsel on behalf of numerous Priority Automotive Group entities representing several different dealerships, resulting in favorable verdicts arising from commercial disputes.
  • Serve as counsel for Delta Star, Inc., a Virginia based transformer manufacturer, representing their interests in matters throughout the United States.


Insurance

  • Served as counsel for Fidelity National Title Group to obtain a favorable verdict in the matter of Landfall Tr. LLC v. Fid. Nat'l Title Ins. Co., 647 F. Supp. 3d 464 (E.D. Va. 2022).


Construction/Government Contracts

  • Lead counsel on behalf of Virginia-based contractor for federal government construction projects in matter pending before the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation resulting in dismissal of all pending claims.


Intellectual Property

  • Served as counsel for many commercial entities located in Virginia and throughout the United States, filing suit to protect their intellectual property rights in various patents and trademarks.
