Get To Know Raven

Raven assists companies and personnel with navigating through the maze of state and federal workplace regulations including the ADA, FMLA, and FLSA. Raven doesn't just focus on compliance, she helps with building inclusive and thriving workplaces and advises employers through the complexities of day-to-day employment challenges. She also delivers tailored trainings, seminars, and legal updates to workplaces regardless of size.

Raven joined Woods Rogers in 2022 after completing the firm’s summer associate program in 2021. She earned her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she was a recipient of the A. H. McLeod-Ross Malone Oral Advocacy Award. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon a single graduating student who has shown exceptional skill in oral advocacy throughout their law school journey.

Raven's commitment to advocacy was demonstrated in and outside of the classroom through various competitions and clinic work. She served as a student caseworker in the Advanced Administrative Litigation Clinic. Formerly known as the Black Lung Clinic, this service advocates for disabled miners affected by pneumoconiosis in their litigation to receive Federal Black Lung benefits for themselves and their survivors.

Raven studied Political Science at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, where she graduated cum laude. She has been a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a nationally recognized honor society, since 2017. Outside the office, Raven enjoys staying active, dedicating her time to mobility and strength training in the gym. When she's not lifting, Raven appreciates exploring new recipes in the kitchen and spending time with friends.

  • Regularly represents employers in the defense of EEOC charges of discrimination, both through the mediation and investigation phases.
  • Frequently offers guidance and support to employers in navigating day-to-day employment challenges, including disciplinary actions, termination procedures, and accommodation requests.
  • Conducts comprehensive reviews of company policies, procedures, and practices to identify areas of non-compliance with state and federal workplace regulations.
