Robin has over 50 years advising numerous clients on topics including business formation, employee relations, and resolutions of disputes arising between third parties and our clients. He has tried and/or mediated more than 400 cases, and has argued cases before the Virginia Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Robin’s extensive experience gives him the background and knowledge to advise clients about their legal issues and to guide them to the most appropriate and cost-effective way to resolve their legal concerns. He handles litigation in a wide variety of matters, including civil, employment, business, intellectual property, corporate sales and acquisitions, shareholder disputes, and trust disputes.
Robin is a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation and author of Civil Procedure in Virginia and Virginia Law and Practice: A Handbook for Attorneys. He is a member of Order of the Coif at Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he also serves as an adjunct professor of Virginia Law and Procedure. In 2015, Robin received the Tradition of Excellence award from the Virginia State Bar's General Practice Section.
Robin was a referee in the ACC for 40 years. He was chairman for three years of the Boyd Graves Conference, a state wide organization of litigation attorneys who meet once a year and make recommendations to the Virginia legislature for improvements to Virginia civil law and procedure. He enjoys social events rising from his law practice and outside activities.

- Broad knowledge of Virginia law and procedure having taught Virginia Law as an adjunct professor of law at Washington Lee Law School for 40 years.
- Litigates in both state and federal trial courts and represents clients on appeal in both state and federal courts.
- Lectures on Virginia law in numerous CLE programs.
